Popsicle Pals

A few weekends ago we decided to give the Dunbar kids a little popsicle treat. Coleman has been teething like a great white shark, and he is always looking for some kind of relief. Poor fella!
We checked with Susannah, and she thought a popsicle would be the perfect solution to his teething predicament :)

She was right; he loved it and his mood improved immediately!

She even modeled "how to eat a popsicle." Way to take one for the team, Suz!

Before long, these 2 were trading pops!

A new tooth popped through a few days later. He now has 7!

Beautiful Ballerina

Look who was all ready for dance class bright and early this morning!
Susannah was galloping around the house, singing songs about dancing and her new leotard, tights and shoes. I loved seeing such joy on her sweet little face. I definitely got a kick out of this little stare of admiration for his precious big sister, too!
It soon turned into a hippo face though! (Ibby, here is another great shot of the Colemanator's snaggle teeth just for you!)
Suz practiced her moves before class,

struck a final pose,
and managed to play a few rounds of trains with her bro.

Then off to class we went! Such excitement when we saw familiar faces- Ella Grace, Anna Claire, Elizabeth W., Elizabeth B, and Madeline (plus lots of fun new friends).
Here are some of the sweet little girls after class.
I admit, I did tear up a bit when taking these pictures.
 She just looks so B-I-G.
Sweet, proud, little beaming face.

The post-dance class sucker was quite a treat, too!
On the way home, Susannah said to me, "I really love being a super, awesome ballet person."
I think it's time to teach her the word "ballerina."

 Happy Thursday!

Sweet Siblings, Silliness and a little bit of Sentiment

Oh what sweet, funny, little people live here on Knollwood Lane. Here are some pictures and little snapshots of life around here lately.  Susannah has really developed some  intense Princess Personality these last couple of weeks. She LOVES pretending to be one of the Dis-ah-ney (her funny way to say it) princesses and she fluctuates between preferring her Prince to be Daddy, Coleman or Baby Hal. No matter who it is, she calls them "Sweetie," "Charming" or "Prince." It's pretty funny to hear her ask Matt a question that begins with "Sweetie? Sweetie?" Coleman is not always a willing participant, but she is pretty good at just writing his behavior off with "Well, he is the prince, so he is allowed to _______." Baby Hal, on the other hand, just takes all those sweet kisses, dances and marriage proposals like a champ :)
Here she is playing a little dress up with Anna Claire (I mean, Cinderella).
Just hanging out in a tutu with Baby Hal.
Somedays we just need a little photo shoot :)

Or some time together to snuggle on the couch
before Coleman discovers the camera and says, "Keeese!!!!" and gets as close as possible to the camera!

Of course, these pictures needed some Susannah too! On a side note, I am just constantly amazed by how much these 2 love some technology. Of course, I blame Daddy for the gadget obsession, but I really cannot imagine how different life will look when they are 25 and 27!

Speaking of  growing up, Suz has taken to telling me stories about her babies and their behavior, proving she is ready to be in charge!! Today she told me that Baby Hal gets a little "freaky" at meal time. (I think she means he freaks out, but it's funny to hear her say it this way). Belle needs to be held at bedtime and Penelope Jane has not been obeying very well lately. Always so proud of Coleman, she cheers him on as he tries new things (like wearing our shoes or kicking a ball). Our girl is such a little mommy. At least when she's not being a princess.

These 2 are big on emptying the cabinets and "reorganizing" all the sippy cups.
Is it just me, or does Coleman look like the instigator?

I sure do love being a mom to these 2 precious little people. They keep me tired but they also keep me laughing and smiling. Sometimes I feel like there isn't enough of me to go around, but I know that is a pretty normal mom-feeling. I hate to miss out on time with either of them and the challenge to do special things with both of them is pretty intense. If any moms out there have the secret, I would love to hear it!

Can you tell that Coleman is trying to push Suz away from me in this picture? I know the mommy love won't last forever, so I am trying to soak it up while I can.

Happy Wednesday!
