Laid-back..

With my mind on the milk and the milk on my mind...

Dress Up Time!

Our closets are still in disarray from the construction and some random things are out where little hands can find them in our room. I am pretty impressed at her ability to accessorize!

Apparently she may someday be an African queen...

Or a weird style icon...

Or an all-oranged-out Clemson fan...

Which is most likely?

Who Likes Pudding?!?!

Every. Last. Bite.
Delicious!

When Coleman Wears a Bib..

It really helps with the spit-up. We have quite a few bibs, but sometimes it is hard to find one. I wonder why...

A Pair of Playdates!

Our good friends, Jeanne and Joseph, came over for a playdate and they brought their new addition Baby David! He is just 6 months younger than Coleman and everyone had a great time.

Joseph and Suz enjoyed the new swing.

And picked their noses at the same time. Gross!

And Coleman and David had a great time watching their siblings
play in Suzy's "big, beautiful, new room!"

The boys also enjoyed sitting on the porch on a late summer day. They are such cool and laid-back little guys! As always, we are so thankful for good friends!

Firsts!

Susannah had her first week of school at in real preschool. She LOVED it. Her teachers came to visit us last week to introduce themselves, and she is completely crazy about both of them. She has some friends in her class from church, so she felt more comfortable and less overwhelmed when we went to visit her classroom last Friday. When I went in her room Tuesday morning to get her out of her bed, she stood up and proclaimed, "This is the first day of school!!!" And then said, "Are you going to go with me?" I told her that we would walk her in and say hi to her friends and then say, "Bye Bye Susannah!" She quickly said, "Ooh, say that part again!" I'm not going to lie, that stung a bit! All in all, she had a wonderful first week and has been slowly revealing facts about her days. She was pretty serious about it and has quickly memorized names and stats (who has a passy or lovie, who likes to play in the kitchen area, etc.) She has even been working on her conversation starters. Here is an example: Let's talk. I'll ask you a question. What is your favorite flower? My favorite flower is a daffodil. Before long she will know all she can about her classmates!

Here she is on the very first day! (Adorable shirt courtesy of Aunt Mana.)

I think this #1 is for First Day!
And, here are a few pictures of Day 2. Every child at FBCK has a red bag with his/her name on it. Susannah takes carrying this bag very seriously.

Big sister is not the only one with firsts! Coleman is officially rolling over. He can go from tummy to back (and has been doing that for awhile) but now he can go from back to belly. He sometimes gets pretty stuck on his side, but he can power through and end up on his belly. What a big boy! He also is loving time in the Bumbo! I can't believe he is already this big!

What a big boy!
