Bath Buddies

We finally got rid of the baby bathtub here in the Dunbar house! Yea!!! I really hate that thing. Now that Coleman has been sitting up for awhile, I figured this transition was way overdue. These two LOVE playing with each other and splashing (gently).
After some coaxing, Susannah even shared her precious boats with her brother.

This picture gives you a great shot of Coleman's awesome physique!
Little man is on the mend, and we are all ready to be healthy around here! Thanks for checking on us!

Sickness and a Chef

This poor little fella has a double ear infection, fever virus and 5 teeth on the way!!! A much needed doctor's appointment affirmed my suspicion that he was following in big sister's footsteps and needed some ear attention.
Doesn't he look pitiful? Look at all that slobber on his pjs. He is on the mend now and sleeping in his crib. Sweet baby!
In an effort to entertain her brother, Chef Susannah worked on preparing a delicious meal.
He was very entertained watching her, especially since
she gave him a yummy orange block as an appetizer.

I love the way this girl cares for little brother. What a sweetheart!
I am confident she cooked up something that made him feel better immediately!

A Close Encounter!

After the trauma of encountering Jolly Old St. Nick (and other costumed folks) last Christmas, we decided it might be best to steer clear of him altogether this year. Imagine our surprise when we saw this guy...
just hanging out at Chick-Fil-A!!
Coleman was a bit braver than Susannah,
but she still managed to ask Santa about Rudolph!
Of course, she talked about him for several days and relived her conversation with him at least 100 times before Christmas Day. He was very friendly (and understanding).

Sweet Christmas Babies!
Happy Dunbars enjoying the season!
More Holiday Pics to come!

Just your everyday photo shoot.

Susannah's last day of school before Christmas break seemed like the perfect time to wear her new red cords. She proudly struck many poses before Daddy whisked her out the door last Thursday.

There was no "posing lesson" or prompting of any kind. I have no idea where she learned this!
And, just in case you are worried about the Colemanator... here he is in all his breakfast glory!

We are ready for Christmas around here. In fact, we are so ready for Christmas, some gifts have been opened more than once! As my dad would say, we are definitely bringing "the Spirit!" Hope you are enjoying the season!

Brunch Babies

We had our annual Christmas Brunch last weekend and LOTS of children were in and out of our home during the 3 hour drop-in. When we started this 3 years ago, there were NO children. This year 25 stopped by!
The weather was gorgeous and we all had a holly, jolly-good time. Sadly, I didn't pick up my camera during the party. Matt got a couple of action shots of the fun and thankfully, my friend Emily snapped these pics of most of the girls. What fun friends!

Welcome to my party!!!

Our sweet neighbor, Campbell, playing with Manning and Coleman with Susannah as an assistant.
Lots of girls (and Joseph!) enjoying Susannah's room!
Trippe was one of my students here. He also lives in our neighborhood and his family is so special to us! Susannah is in LOVE with him!

Love these 2!!!

Such Sweet Siblings!
I am SO in L-O-V-E with these two little people and their Daddy.
They make me smile everyday and are such sweet, fun, joyful friends.

I cannot even begin to describe how fun it is to watch them interact with each other. Susannah has had a fever virus for the past couple days but that hasn't stopped her from taking care of Coleman. Today we journeyed to Babies R Us to get some "fun snacks" and a new book for our airplane ride on Friday, and she made sure Coleman got a few new toys also. (Such an inclusive little girl. She never wants Coleman to feel left out! And yes, I know this won't last forever). After naptime she decided it was time for "Coleman's Story Time" and then proceeded to read him several of her favorite books. Cole-Maaaan (this is her affectionate way of saying his name) just lights up whenever he sees his sister and could be entertained by her for hours! Yea for siblings!!

ps- I CANNOT wait to see mine!
