Christmas Brunch 2012

We had a great time at our annual Christmas brunch! So many fun friends stopped by to say hello and welcome the Christmas season! The children were MANY!!! We always love seeing how brunch evolves from year to year.
I am not sure how we ended up with these pictures on our camera. From the moment the party starts, we get carried away catching up with friends and not photography is not a priority!
There were sweet moments and serious moments.

There were little kiddos adoring big ones!

Families from the very first brunch

and plenty of new friends!

 A few games
and lots of jokes were told!
Of course, we are always so thankful for God's blessings of great friends and a life much better and richer than we deserve.
Next year, I will designate a photographer so we have more pics to share :)

Some Days...

are just like this.
 Everybody cries.
Just keeping it real. I am not sure why I felt like I needed to capture this moment except for the fact that they do both cry at the same time every once in awhile. It is CRAZY!
Over the past 10 days we have been to the doctor 4 times. I think that might be one reason for these tears. Hopefully we are all healthy now!

Coleman's Almost First Day of School

Now that Coleman is 18 months old, I figured it was time for once-a-week Mother's Morning Out. And, let's be honest, I need a morning away from my clingy (but sweet and oh-so-awesome) little boy. Last Wednesday we got him all ready for school and he seemed pretty excited. However, on the way there, I started to smell a pretty awful and funky smell. When I opened the door (in the school parking lot) to get him out, he was COVERED in throw-up! Not sure what exactly happened. He did chug some milk that morning and he had the flu booster shot on Monday. He is also getting several teeth, so who knows exactly what caused it. Obviously, I couldn't leave him there. We headed home, took a bath and watched the trash trucks. He was a pretty happy little fella after that. I am convinced that he just likes to thwart my efforts at alone time :)
See, doesn't he look totally fine in this first day photo?

Once we got home, bathed, changed clothes and settled in, he was one happy little boy.

Things went much smoother today. He cried a little at the beginning, but he played happily with friends after that. And, I got LOTS of things done!

Thanksgiving in Rock Hill

We traveled up to Rock Hill for Thanksgiving and had a blast with Mimi, Pop and Emily. Coleman loved playing with these little blocks from Mimi's old classroom.

Susannah got in on the building as well!
Coleman insisted on trying on Mimi's socks :) Sweet little man loves some socks and shoes!

Susannah loved some playtime/snuggletime with Emily.

Super thankful for a relaxing Thanksgiving!

Disney on Ice

Right before Thanksgiving, Susannah and I headed out for a late night with friends. We enjoyed some yummy pizza before going to see Disney on Ice with some of our best friends. What a time we had!
Here is my little princess all fired up and ready for the show!
Looking good in her princess outfit.
Acting crazy at home before the dinnertime gigglefest with friends!

 Mickey and Minnie!
 Ariel and Flounder!

Posing with the girls before heading home after the show!

Such a fun night out with my sweet Susannah and our wonderful friends!

Ballerina Girl

On Thursday Matt and I were treated to a sweet little showcase of Susannah's dance class. It was simply precious. These little girls have been learning skills for the past couple of months and were so proud (and a little nervous) to show them off. Pointing toes, working on splits, practicing leaps and turns... they have done it all. Here is our girl waiting for her turn at the beginning of class.
 She looks a little nervous.
Her teacher, Ms. Vickie, welcoming parents to the observation day.
Susannah and Ella Grace tiptoeing out.
Suz taking her turn across the dance floor
 and stopping for a pose.
Here are the ballerinas waiting for the next number.

Susannah really loves leaping. Here she is making her way over the boards.
I loved when she smiled at us on her way by our seats! Melt my heart!

This is one of my two favorite pictures from the day! She just looks so serious and attentive.

And this one is my second favorite. Look at that face... she is having the time of her life here!

 Posing with Daddy after dancing.

What a sweet little ballerina we have! Way to go, Susannah! You are quite the little dancer!
