Opening presents!

After the birthday party, we had lots of fun opening presents. These socks from Ibby and Uncle Luke were especially exciting!
Coleman requested Ariel.

Suz loves her new baby, Stella.

And, we were so excited to finally receive Fancy Nancy (the Original) and Amelia Bedelia.

The birthday weekend was a success and Susannah especially enjoyed seeing Miss Margaret (our babysitter and next-door-neighbor) on her way to the prom. Suz quickly changed to her new princess gown and helped send off Margaret.
These two are such beauties on the inside and outside!
Here is one final shot of Susannah with her birthday cookie cake!

Susannah's 4th Birthday Party!

Susannah had a costume party on April 26.  We are so thankful the Lord gave us a gorgeous day to have a parade, playtime and pizza in the park. The birthday girl wore her new Tinkerbell costume.
Captain and Nana flew in to celebrate.

Batman showed up to keep us all safe.
So many sweet friends joined us.. Minnie Mouse,
 Rapunzel,
Ballerinas, Spiderman, Fairies,
Cheerleaders, Snow White, Cinderella, Ragedy Anne, Cowgirls and Army Boys.
 Brave stunts were performed :)

What fun we had! The characters played on the playground and in the sand, snacked on watermelon, pizza and cupcakes and loved enjoying our beautiful park on a perfect afternoon.

It was the cutest party the park has ever seen.
Look at these sweet little faces!

Susannah led the parade around the Heart Park (check out Little Bo Peep right behind Suz!)
Camille and Coleman made sand angels.
As soon as Spiderman arrived, he let us all know he was here "To protect this city!!!"
What a tough guy!

Coleman loved trying to keep up with the Hamby boys!

Most importantly, our sweet 4-year-old had a blast!
Happy 4th Birthday Susannah Ruth!

School Celebration

Susannah's school celebration was this past Monday and her teachers sent home a list of treats the kids thought would be great for a Susannah's celebration. From that list, Susannah chose popcorn, watermelon and flower-shaped cookies. Anna Claire came over Sunday to help us make cookies.

The girls did a lot of licking and sprinkling.
Susannah wore her new tunic from Mia and her cowboy boots (of course). Here is our almost 4-year-old!
The class said the pledge of allegiance while Susannah proudly held the flag.
Some of her classmates made her a pink crown and Mrs. Anderson helped her put it on.

Coleman enjoyed sitting at the table with the big kids.

Susannah sure does love her class. In fact, she insisted on a costume party, not just a princess party, because she wanted to be sure the boys in her class would be invited. We are so thankful for her school and her friends, but mostly we are thankful for this sweet and spirited 4-year-old.
Happy Celebration Day, Susannah!
