C & C Snuggle Factory

These 2 gentlemen love some snuggle time. When Captain and Nana were here for Susannah's birthday, they were pretty much inseparable. 

  They read lots of books too.

Nature Girl

This is a pretty common sight around here. 

Coleman takes a nap and Susannah ventures out to the backyard while I work on dinner.

Well, This is Embarrassing

It's only been an entire season since I worked on this little blog :(

So much has happened in the past 3 months.  Coleman turned 2, Susannah learned to swim, we had tons of fun playing with friends and traveling and we spent summer days enjoying each other and soaking up childhood in a way that makes my heart feel like it might burst.

What a blessing these 2 are! They do wear me out and sometimes drive me crazy, but on the whole, they are just straight-up AWESOME! They can make anything fun! Some of my favorite days with them were spent snuggling with books or stopping by Krispy Kreme. Their personalities are so different from each other, and when they are alone with their cars and princesses, I hear a sweetness and tenderness that is so G-O-O-D...


either that, or I hear screaming and crying. Just keeping it real. Summer pics coming soon!

Ballerina Extraordinaire!

Susannah did a fabulous job at her ballet recital in early May. She proudly donned her purple leotard and tutu (and headband), and listened carefully to instructions. 

 She paused for LOTS of pictures with friends

 and worked her magic on the stage. Look at that concentration!!!

She did a little bit of impromptu singing at her dress rehearsal :) 

 and happily cheesed for the camera while leaping and posing!

 On the night of the recital she was maybe a little too excited. Anna Claire came over for a pre-dance dinner.

 Suz worked some nerves out.

 And then we left for the performance. And, it was AWESOME! Our sweet girl did some awesome leaping and turning and we could not have enjoyed it anymore than we did!

 A major photo shoot followed the performance. These little girls are such sweet friends. 

 Finally we headed home with this sweet little ballerina in the back of our car!  Susannah Ruth, Ballerina Extraordinaire! 

Opening presents!

After the birthday party, we had lots of fun opening presents. These socks from Ibby and Uncle Luke were especially exciting! 

Coleman requested Ariel.

Suz loves her new baby, Stella.

And, we were so excited to finally receive Fancy Nancy (the Original) and Amelia Bedelia.

The birthday weekend was a success and Susannah especially enjoyed seeing Miss Margaret (our babysitter and next-door-neighbor) on her way to the prom. Suz quickly changed to her new princess gown and helped send off Margaret. 

These two are such beauties on the inside and outside!
