Hiking with Captain-part 1!

Last Sunday we enjoyed a beautiful fall day in a nearby state park. What fun! Susannah and Captain discovered so many interesting things and sweet Coleman napped then enjoyed the sights too.

And we are loving every minute of it!

We get to have him with us until Wednesday and so fare we have read LOTS of books, done a lot of rocking and swinging on the porch, helped Daddy aerate and overseed the yard, visited a pumpkin patch and witnessed a longhorn spanking.

Our visit is off to a great start!!

It's Pretty Fun Around Here!

Life on Knollwood Lane is pretty awesome. These kiddos are so fun, so happy, so hilarious and so sweet. Coleman continues to be so laid-back and sweet. He is in love with his sister and watches her every move. Susannah LOVES her school, classmates and teachers, but she especially loves art. She is also pretty into doing whatever I am doing with Coleman. Notice Baby Elmo's sasso.

What's Your Favorite...?

Lately Susannah and I have been having "favorite talks" where we ask each other, "What is your favorite __________?" Animal, shape, thing that swims in the ocean, color, state, song, book, etc. It is seriously one of my favorite things to do with her. She comes up with the funniest answers and always gets right in my face to ask the question. Her little eyes sparkle and she grins before really thinking long and hard about her answer. When asked what about her favorite color, she told me, "Brown... like your eyes!" Favorite shape is a hexagon. Fave song is a toss-up between Wheels on the Bus (definitely not my favorite) and Hey Diddle Diddle. She has also started asking Coleman about his favorites and going into detail about what the favorites might be for other people in her family. Daddy loves tigers, Aunt Mana loves green and pandas, Mimi loves baby lambs, Mia loves Baby Dear, Pop loves deer and antelopes, Captain loves Florida and Mommy loves hearts. She told me the other day that her favorite state was Oklahoma and Texas. When I asked her why she told me that's where her families are and she rides on an airplane (in her own seat with her own seatbelt and it's really fun) to get there. It is so sweet to watch her personality grow along with her love for others, especially her brother!

I just really loved this picture! This is how I find Susannah after her naps. She is always reading to her babies (who are always sitting at attention) and she won't let me get her out until she is finished with the story! LOVE this sweet girl!

Boomer Sooner!

Uncle Mike and Aunt Missy gave Susannah this adorable little outfit. It is perfect for her Friday attire! In just a few weeks we will need to wear it to school though. There is a longhorn in her class and she's been reppin' her school every day! What are the chances?!?!
