Slithering

This precious boy-
is on the move!

Where did all that time go?
He is the sweetest thing, and we are seeing some serious determination from him as he goes after Susannah's toys, markers, babies, etc. While she doesn't appreciate his sudden fascination with Baby Hal, she is constantly cheering for him and encouraging him. In fact, yesterday I said, "Okay everybody, it's breakfast time!" And, she promptly responded, "C'mon Coleman, slither in here!" Such a funny girl and an appropriate verb! He is a slitherer! Life as we know it has really changed.
Sweet Coleman, don't grow up too fast!

Party People

Last Saturday the Dunbars ventured out to 3- count them- 3 birthday parties. Conveniently, Brayden turned 1, Catherine turned 2 and Elizabeth turned 3! I have officially learned the "less is more" lesson when it comes to birthday parties. On Saturday night, Susannah was running wild and crazy laps in our house. My guess it is the 3 pieces of cake, 2 cookies, and huge serving of ice cream. What do you think? Could that be it? By the 3rd party, we had our stuff together enough to snap a few pics.

Here is the party queen before cake #3.

Decorating cupcakes before the big ice cream treat!
The birthday girl is Sweet Elizabeth. She is wearing the pale pink dress and that's her mama, Miss Laura, talking to all the munchkins. Susannah has been friends with these little girls since she was born! I cannot believe they are turning 3 already!!!!

Coleman was a trooper. He even napped in the arms of another party-goer! Sweet boy!

Sweet Friends on a Sugar High!

Little Buddies

While Susannah is busy playing with Joseph, David and Coleman are getting to know each other. They just sit around in the rainforest smiling and staring at each other. Sweet little buddies!

Bath Buddies

We finally got rid of the baby bathtub here in the Dunbar house! Yea!!! I really hate that thing. Now that Coleman has been sitting up for awhile, I figured this transition was way overdue. These two LOVE playing with each other and splashing (gently).
After some coaxing, Susannah even shared her precious boats with her brother.

This picture gives you a great shot of Coleman's awesome physique!
Little man is on the mend, and we are all ready to be healthy around here! Thanks for checking on us!

Sickness and a Chef

This poor little fella has a double ear infection, fever virus and 5 teeth on the way!!! A much needed doctor's appointment affirmed my suspicion that he was following in big sister's footsteps and needed some ear attention.
Doesn't he look pitiful? Look at all that slobber on his pjs. He is on the mend now and sleeping in his crib. Sweet baby!
In an effort to entertain her brother, Chef Susannah worked on preparing a delicious meal.
He was very entertained watching her, especially since
she gave him a yummy orange block as an appetizer.

I love the way this girl cares for little brother. What a sweetheart!
I am confident she cooked up something that made him feel better immediately!

A Close Encounter!

After the trauma of encountering Jolly Old St. Nick (and other costumed folks) last Christmas, we decided it might be best to steer clear of him altogether this year. Imagine our surprise when we saw this guy...
just hanging out at Chick-Fil-A!!
Coleman was a bit braver than Susannah,
but she still managed to ask Santa about Rudolph!
Of course, she talked about him for several days and relived her conversation with him at least 100 times before Christmas Day. He was very friendly (and understanding).

Sweet Christmas Babies!
Happy Dunbars enjoying the season!
More Holiday Pics to come!

Just your everyday photo shoot.

Susannah's last day of school before Christmas break seemed like the perfect time to wear her new red cords. She proudly struck many poses before Daddy whisked her out the door last Thursday.

There was no "posing lesson" or prompting of any kind. I have no idea where she learned this!
And, just in case you are worried about the Colemanator... here he is in all his breakfast glory!

We are ready for Christmas around here. In fact, we are so ready for Christmas, some gifts have been opened more than once! As my dad would say, we are definitely bringing "the Spirit!" Hope you are enjoying the season!
