CPD = 1

Before a month goes by, we better blog about the Colemanator's FIRST birthday! Since then we have also 1)had some awesome houseguests,  2) been to the beach, 3) had a mama-getaway weekend, 4) celebrated 5 years of marriage and 6) celebrated father's day!

But, first, we must recap the big birthday weekend with Aunt Mana and Uncle Frank visiting all the way from San Francisco!!! Sweet Coleman had an animal birthday party and was such a great little birthday boy! He loved the cake and opening presents and could not be any sweeter than he is at this moment. He loves to give hugs and snuggles, and delights in his sister's every almost-every move. He can most DEFINITELY say "Ti-ger" and "thank you," and he makes a hilarious chewing motion when he is hungry. He does sign language for please, but only when he really wants something. Otherwise  he just points and grunts. His hair is getting L-O-N-G and it looks a lot like He-man, but I cannot bring myself to cut it.
Yummy food for the birthday boy and friends.
 Lots of presents, too.
Several balloons- some with tiger stripes :)
And, of course a #1 balloon from Aunt Mana.
A Happy Birthday Boy and (a little bit of) cupcake left over!
Coleman had a great time playing with his new water table. The cars and animals that were "swimming" in the water were also surprisingly tasty.
And, the water was refreshing too.

We don't really know at what point, Coleman got his hair washed by his sis.

Enjoying a beautiful day with lots of great friends and our sweet, funny, wild and crazy little man!
Thankfully, Susannah helped Coleman all of his presents. What a sweet sister! She also showed him how to play with them and may or may not have claimed some as her own.

Coleman loved his presents, especially the books, trucks and tigers...
and the Thomas the Train ride-along toy!

We love you, Coleman Patrick Dunbar! What a blessing you are to us!

Summer Time, Sprinkler Time

Susannah got a cool new sprinkler for her birthday and on the first warm day, we decided to test it out. Coleman took to it right away.

 Susannah checked it out.
Then vented her concerns to Daddy.
 Coleman tried to convince her.
 Really, it's fun!

 She tried again...

Still not sure.
 A little closer.
 Oh no! It got her!

 Better luck next time, sis!

Susannah's Family Celebration

Wow! May sped by and we barely blogged. Sorry about that! We did take pictures though and here are some from Susannah's school family celebration. The children sang lots of songs and then had a mother's day surprise for us.

Obviously, I was very surprised! She gave me her hand print and a little poem. So sweet. I can't believe she is moving to 3K already!
Daddy and Coleman came to check it out too and Coleman loved the music- although you can't really tell in this picture!

Big girl and one of her teachers, Mrs. Kellos. We are already looking forward to a great year next year but are sad to say goodbye to the Sunshine Room- such a special place!

Coleman's Baptism

Sweet Coleman was baptized on April 28. We were happy to get it on the calendar when we had family in town. Our main teaching pastor is on sabbatical and our associate pastor is filling in over the summer (along with several visiting pastors), so we were so thankful to find a weekend that worked with our schedules. Our good friend, Brian Hamby, helped with the sacrament which made it that much more special. The Hambys are our neighbors and close friends. They have 4 children and have been such an encouragement to Matt and me as we fumble through parenthood.  Here is a pic of the family on baptism day.

We are so thankful for Downtown Presbyterian Church!

Downtown Dinner

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner out with Captain and Nana. The weather was perfect and the little wall fountain and grassy play area were perfect for the munchkins.
Coleman REALLY loved his appetizer of prunes and apples.
He did enjoy playing in the grass a bit more.
Susannah stopped running for a few moments to take in beautiful downtown Greenville. We absolutely love living, working, playing, shopping and just hanging out downtown. We love being able to walk so many places and find tons of things to do with little ones. This place is perfect---- almost. If only it were somewhere in the middle of the country!
And then she started running again!

Coleman crawled all over that soft green grass and only tried to take a few bites.

I tried to get a cute little Dunbar kid pic. I think Coleman has had it with this pose. He is so big!
We had such a great time dining and playing.
Susannah just wasn't ready to leave.

Thanks, Captain and Nana for a great night out.
Thank you, Greenville, for being one of the greatest little cities in the country!
We look forward to showing you off to Aunt Mana and Uncle Frank next week!
